Rob Schroeder has been a farmer all his life taking over the farm from his father. Orginally turkeys and pigs were reared on the farm along with strawberries but they diversified to start growing Christmas trees in 1955.  At first, only Norway spruce trees were planted and Rob sold his trees mostly to retail customers but as the word spread and demand grew, other tree varieties were introduced and trade customers were welcomed.  

Over the years the business has expanded to what you see today - a complete Chritsmas experience!  Rob still oversees all the day-to-day running of the farm from planting the new seedlings in March to buying stock for the shop with his wife Jenny and daughter in-law Lucy, to attending Christmas tree growers meetings all over the country to keep up to date with the latest tree news with other farmers.  It is very much still a family business with all the family helping out in December to make things run smoothly.
